Branch Headshot

Hello,

It is truly my honor to lead this team. Our passion is adding value to the communities we do business in, but this section is supposed to be about me; so, here it goes:

My concept of community service was started by my father, who served as a physician, in the US Air Force, and as a Boy Scout leader. The ideal of leaving a community better than when I found it, is the standard that the TouchStone Team and I strive for daily.

But, I did not start out that way…

I have always been a student of life, but, for a while, I really was a professional student! After college finished, I soon entered graduate school for a masters in business, and then, just when you would have thought I had enough, law school came a callin’. While in school, I worked part-time at three different apartment communities: one exclusive, one mid-range, and one, in a really bad area. Interesting enough, the one universal truth I discovered, is that everyone wants a chance to improve their lives and the lives of those they care about.

Eventually, I had to face reality and get back into the work force, but I wanted it to be in a way that gave people a chance to improve their conditions. After all, the earlier experiences had taught me that, given a chance, the tenants of the bad area could become tenants of the exclusive complex. Oh, by the way, given a few poor decisions, I saw some exclusive tenants head back to where they started too.

Well, here I am over a few decades later, and it gives me great satisfaction to know that in our daily work, we assist people, families, and communities in Marlborough, Hudson, Clinton, Framingham, and North Attleboro. Some examples include our 10 year participation with the Fresh Start Furniture Bank, an organization that provides household items to families in need (homelessness, domestic violence victims, veterans, etc). We are also upgrading the Frye Building, so that low income residents have safe, affordable housing. We have participated with other nonprofit programs, including a homeless program that provides shelter, medical assistance, and counsel to help stabilize and ensure tenancies of people that have been homeless for more than a year. Other community service commitments included volunteering as an "Attorney for the Day" each month at SMOC Legal Services, volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America and serving on the board of directors of the Hudson Business Improvement District, the Hudson Business Association, and the Fresh Start Furniture Bank. However, my favorite community service was as a soccer coach for my two sons, Brandon and Devon.

Come join us and let us help build your community, 1 resident at a time!
