The Fresh Start Furniture Bank began at 66 Mechanic St., the site of Touchstone Apartments headquarters. Along with 6 others, Branch Yules started the effort. The continued growth forced the store to expand and it is now located at 16 Brent Drive in Hudson, MA. The Fresh Start Furniture Bank is run by volunteers and re-purposes furniture and home goods to people in need, for no cost to them. Referrals are needed from a qualified local agency or a professional, such as a social worker or clergy. Branch Yules has been Chairman of the Board and a volunteer for the last 10 years and, just recently, stepped down to serve as a board member. Many of the Touchstone team has volunteered at FSFB as well.
